Description
Elmer D. Merrill discovered Amesiella philippinensis for the first time in 1906 on Mount Halcon in Mindoro, Philippines. It was later found in the mountains of Albay, Benguet, the Mountain Province and Nueva Viscaya in Luzon and the island of Mindoro. It grows epiphytically at heights between 400 and 1,400 meters.
