Description
Paphiopedilum philippinense is the most widely spread Paphiopedilum in the Philippines. It grows from sea level to 500 meters altitude, usually in fairly bright light.
Growth habit: Upright, sympodial.
Leaves: Up to 30 cm long by 4 cm wide, bright green, shiny.
Inflorescences: arch, bearing up to five flowers 20 cm across the petals.
Flower colour: dorsal sepal is white striped vertically dark-purple. Synsepalum is white, striped with dark purple.
- Plants are offered as young plants in 5,5 cm pots
- 2 years to flower
- Water twice a week in summer and less in winter
- Fertilize only during active growth of the plants.
