Description
Cattleya aclandiae is named in honor of Lady Lydia Elizabeth Ackland, wife of Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, 10th Baronet who was the first European to grow the plant successfully. This specie is found in Bahia state of Brazil as a dwarf sized, warm growing epiphyte.
This plant definitely appreciates a dryer winter rest after which it will bloom in the spring and early summer as the new growth appears.
Flower: fragrant spicy scented, waxy, long-lasting flowers.
Light: This specie is one of the most light tolerant Cattleya and can withstand a bit of direct sun.
