Description
Paphiopedilum urbanianum is endemic to the Philippines. It grows as a terrestrial plant, in shaded locations, at an elevation between 500 and 800 meters.
Growth habit: upright, sympodial
Leaves: mottled, very showy. 20 cm long by 4 cm wide.
Inflorescencens: upright, carry one flower about seven cm across the petals.
Flower colour: dorsal sepal is white with green lines running vertically. Petals are white and green for the basal third, dark pink for the remainder, central third spotted with black. Labellum is brown and shiny. Synsepalum is green with darker markings.
- Plants are offered in 8 cm Topf
- Mature, strong flowering size.
- Water twice a week in Summer and less in winter.
- Fertilize during active growth of the plant, usually in summer with low concentration.
